Tenants of Harvard
Roxbury Tenants of Harvard
Association, Inc. (RTH) is a non-profit housing and human service
organization that was founded by residents of the neighborhood in
1969. Our mission is to insure community participation in
decision-making, to foster the improvement of housing, recreation and
related facilities for the residents of the Mission Hill area of Boston
and to improve the social and economic condition of the community.
RTH has a variety of on-site
programs for the residents who reside at Mission Park and additional
neighborhood housing adjoining the site. Programs include the RTH Children's Center, a daycare center for
56 children, the RTH After-School Program, the Betty Powers Library and
the Computer Learning Center with 10 PC's. We offer a wide array
of classes for youth and adults, including classes in the arts and
culture, athletics and recreation, technology and computers and
educational enrichment. We also plan special events throughout the
year for the community. RTH also strongly advocates to improve the
quality of life for its residents through participation in the City's
design and review process for expansion of the Longwood Medical Area's
institutions and related projects.
Our offices are located in
the RTH Community Building at 2 New Whitney Street in Boston, MA.
